The clinic has a HICAPS terminal which allows you to make on-the-spot claims from your private health insurance (if you have extras cover that includes Osteopathy). Do I Need a Referral?PRIVATE: Private patients do not need a referral for an appointment. WORKCOVER: If you are a Workcover patient you will require a valid claim number and have your employer and their Workcover insurer's details. TAC: Patients simply require a valid claim number and the date of injury to receive treatment. There is a gap payment of $23 for TAC patients. VETERANS AFFAIRS (DVA): patients require a GP referral and their Veterans number. The GP referral will last 12 months from date of issue. There is no gap payment for veterans affairs clients. MEDICARE COVER: The only time Medicare covers treatment is for patients with complex, chronic health issues. The referral is called an EPC Plan (Enhanced Primary Care) and is only available from your GP if your condition fits the criteria. EPC patients are bulk-billed $50.05 at the clinic using their Medicare card and then pay a gap of $14.95. Membership
